Trading Post Input Lag?
The difference is that the item interface is a part of the core game code, and the Trading Post is actually a “mini-browser” that’s opening a web page. Based on your Internet speed it lags considerably more or less due to it having to make a bunch of additional calls to the server, and stuff like scrolling isn’t as fluid due to it getting less CPU priority in the game itself (if it didn’t, the rest of the game would start to noticeably lag when you used the Trading Post).
I have the same lag.
A little off topic but if you type
I am Evon Gnashblade
into the search window, the item icons in the display window will become about 2/3 smaller, so you will be able to see 3 times more items without scrolling.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
oh that evon gnashblade thing is nice
now i dont need to scroll so much
but my tp still lags af
i have some friends who have no lag it all
and some who experience same as i do
after i asked about alot guildies and friends
some with high internet speed have these lags
some with low internet speeds dont have these lags
and vice versa
so any ideas what causes it?

The CoherentUI TP runs at the same priority as the game and simply idling on the buy screen it’s pulling 15-20% of my total CPU Usage (I’m on a quad core). But it gets spawned only when you bring it up and shuts down when you close it. So I can see it being a strain on slower CPUs or ones with only two physical cores.

hmm i tryed to put gw2 to low priority and CoherentUI on high priority
i even try to disable 1 core for gw2 to improve the “playing tp performance”
i got dual core, with 2 hyperthread w/e those virtual cores, 2.8ghz
but no matter what i do tp is laggy
i find it weird that i cannot run a simple UI.exe with 1.4ghz

This causes an insane amount of lag for those without high-end computers.
So long Treeface.
