I have just crafted eternity to sell, however I noticed the hefty listing fee (250 gold) on the trading post. If I keep the eternity to myself without soul binding it can I sell it without having to pay a fee when a offer I want becomes available in the tp.

No. When you sell directly to a buy offer, it’s still counting you as listing it, it just gets bought instantly.

No, you’ll always have to pay a fee (and that fee goes up as your sell price goes up). So, if you sell for the Highest Buyer price rather than lowest seller, it’ll be a lower fee, but you’ll still have to pay it.
