I remember reading about the new trait setup for new players and how characters created BEFORE the update wouldn’t have to go through the new system of getting traits.

My question is: If my character was created before the patch, yet doesn’t have any traits yet, when he unlocks them, will he have to acquire the traits the new way?

My thief was created before patch but is only level 9 that’s why i was wondering.

AFAIK as long as it was created before the patch, he will be using the old system.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

Aye pretty sure you should be set, I’m pretty sure that’s what happened with my warrior recently, but then made an ele once I finished off the warrior and it was in the new system.

You’ll have all the traits automatically unlocked once u reach lvl30, lvl60 and lvl80 if you created the character before the patch.

I have a lvl 53 Guardian I made at launch and I kind of dropped out of the game for the last few months due to IRL priorities. Can anyone share a quick link to info on how the changes and new traits system affects him?
