Are we going to have all our traits wiped and need to reset them as a result of the class changes for tomorrow?

Hmmm… Not to sound rude/ignorant, but why would we need to?

Yeah but more importantly everyone is gonna be reset to level 1 so we can experience the goodness they hath provided us. Embrace the goodness, feel it’s warm run down your leg, can you smell the sweat of hard work and dedication from the developers who have so tirelessly worked on such awesomeness in which we now, can be grateful for being a part of?!?! Can you FEEL IT I DON’T THINK YOU DO SON!

Not rude, I wouldn’t be the one resetting them.

Sometimes when enough things change, a company will reset all our traits, either because what your class has maybe physically doesn’t exist any more, or because they think they are helping.

And they don’t tell us, and if you aren’t intimately familiar with every one of the traits you have set on every character, and they do, and you hope to get back to what you had, or at least review what you had to build something close to it, if you choose, then you are sol, unless you happened to get some screen shots or take some notes or such.

I guess I’ll just go write everything down.

The games that do this generally have a fee attached to trait resetting.

As some of the traits are changing they might well do a reset. For example, any Ranger that’s traited with `Signet of the Beastmaster` will have to change because that trait is being removed. Either way, will it really matter? most people are going to go look at the new trait changes anyway, right?

What we need are Templates like GW1.

This happened to my elementalist after one of the updates and I couldn’t remember what traits I had been using.

It wasn’t a problem though. I looked through the options for each slot and remembered some of the ones I had been using after reading the descriptions, others (presumably the ones that had been changed) I couldn’t find any I remembered using before so I picked new ones.

It’s even less of an issue now you don’t have to pay to change trait points around. If you don’t get ones you like right away just switch them.

Trait reset has happened before. Can’t remember the reason exactly, but I didn’t know it happened so I ran around for some time with none before I realized they had all been reset! Actually come to think of it, I think they did that when the traits became free to change.

It is possible that the few traits that are getting renamed / swapped might be reset (so they show no selected trait). Shouldn’t be too hard to just select a trait for those slots….don’t see the issue even if it refunds ALL your trait points….It’s just 7 clicks.
