lemme get this straight… stats are being removed from the traits, base lvl 80 stats increased from 926 to 1000, get 4 more trait points to have a total of 3 max trait lines, then traits renamed to specializations. seems kinda dumb and they should have done this from the beginning. don’t get me wrong, im all for making this more like GW1. the thing is what we really need is a dedicated tank build that can keep the enemies aggroed.
i just hope that HoT will not be a major disappointment like the base game was. hopefully rangers will be able to get preperations back or something so we can actually get decent drop rates. as it stands right now, im forced to play as a guardian just to get a decent rate of loot which i think is a bad move on ArenaNet’s part

With the introduction of the taunt and if there is proper/judicious use of it in small teams, you will have people who can pull aggro (sorta). problem is and always will be that the game isn’t made (at least not PvE) for overly tanky toons. Not as long as big enemies can one shot you regardless of how tanky/heal-y you are.

I also have no problems getting loot on my ranger in the world. maybe a little harder in WvW, but overall I’ve never felt a severe lack in loot getting.

The point of Guild Wars 2 builds were not actually designed for mass farming.
