My guild is in process of moving to Tarnished Coast. I do realize TC is currently the fullest server. My question is how do you Anet concider a server to be full?

1. A server is full when the pop cap reaches capacity when active accounts are playing?
or
2. The server has reached capacity reguardless if active accounts or online or not?

Reason for asking is i been trying for a few days now to get into TC , and no matter if i try during the day, night, or even the hours of 3 AM – 5 AM PST , i still cant seem to have success…

A server “fullness” is dependent on the number of accounts calling said server their “home.”

It doesn’t matter how many people are logged on at the time. It just matters the number of accounts tied to the server directly, whether online or offline at that moment.

YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IN THINGS THAT AREN’T TRUE. HOW ELSE CAN THEY BECOME?

No, It is the amount of people logged on and playing at the time. You will see it go down to high, but it may be at weird hours. You just have to keep trying. GL to you though

Incorrect. It’s based on the number of active users on the server who are currently online.

During prime time it will be difficult getting in. Off-peak hours are the best time to transfer.

What 2 of the 3 people have said so far. It’s the amount of people on at that time. A couple of my friends switched to SoS and I just had to check a couple of times at non-peak hours to finally switch over.

RIP in peace Robert

Hmm, i guess with a server that has peeps from all over the world, i really dont know how to judge what non- peak hours would be..

That is true, but think about the highest populations. NA and Europe. If you’re in NA, then Europe is about 5 hours ahead. You’ll also have some population from china/australia which is about 11-13 hours ahead.

When checking the server status, it DOESN’T UPDATE by just closing the window. you have to close the client, and run the updater again.

My GF switched around 3pm on a weekday. I switched around a Sunday afternoon.

RIP in peace Robert
