I’m currently trying to get the title Twice-Told Legend with two Incinerators (one Legendary and one Ascended), but it seems that I can’t get the title. I’ve tried
(1) equipped both daggers,
(2) equipped one and put another one in the Inventory, and
(3) equipped another weapon and put the two daggers in the Inventory
when I talked to the NPC, nothing happened.
As I’ve seen people doing this just by transmuting an ascended weapon into a legendary and got the title, I wanna ask if this still works after the patch.

What do you mean by one legendary and one ascended?.

To get the title you need to have made the legendary weapon twice, not just apply the skin to another dagger (which is what I understand you did when you say one is legendary and one is ascended). The title is basically a way to compensate those that made the same legendary twice so they could dual wield it before the wardrobe came out, since now you’d make it only once and apply the skin to another weapon.

As far as I understand it, you’d need two incinerators, both of them legendary, to get the title.

both need to be legendary. An ascended incinerator doesn’t count towards it, since that is just re-using the old skin

Yeah, your Ascended Incenerator isn’t a Legendary; it’s an Ascended. Therefore it isn’t the second Legendary required for the achievement. But nice try.

Sorry about didn’t making it clear, I do this because I have seen people trying to transmute an ascended weapon into legendary and got the title. I just want to see if it’s still working after patch. Not a bug at all.

You can’t transmute an ascended weapon into a legendary. You can put a legendary skin on an ascended weapon but that doesn’t make it a legendary. It is still an ascended weapon with just legendary appearance.

I never heared of this bug. All people I know who have this title got 2x the same legendary and talked to a NPC in divinity reach.

You don’t seem to understand what I am asking. Of course I knew the transmuted one isn’t a legendary. What I am saying is people did that before and succeed so I am asking if it’s still working after the patch as I can’t achieve it by doing the same thing right now.

Well thanks for replying anyway, maybe the bug has been fixed already or there is no such bug people just making it up nvm.

Have you got any solid evidence that this actually occurred (e.g. screen shots, video, dev comments or even patch note/bug fixes)?

I was just wondering… maybe you were misled by poor communication? A legendary skin on an ascended weapon is, in many ways, equal to a legendary as it looks the same and has the same stats. But it’s still not a legendary. You obviously know that, but maybe whoever told you had a strange way of phrasing it.

It’s on this forum but I don’t remember which post. They said why twice-told doesn’t worth anything as the wardrobe system came out and we can just achieve that by transmuting an ascended. Anyway now it’s clear that there’s no other way to get the title but with two identical legendary weapons.
