How will they be treated after the updated? Can we expect them to simply become adaptable? I’m quite concerned!

Worst case scenario you buy an untransmutation stone (or what ever it is called) when it comes out in the gem store. It was leaked a little while back so it should be out soon.

We’ll find out, and there is nothing we can do about it.

I do imagine they will, though, it will be too much kitten for AN to want to deal with.

But is it possible? And what would happens to Legendaries on low level alts?

If they are possible, I imagine there will be a way to “revert” transmuted Legendaries.

Also concerned about this as I transmuted two of my Legendary weapons already, with Sunrise being the only one I didn’t touch, just in case I wanted to make a Eternity at some point.

While it won’t be the end of the world for me, if my Rodgort and Bolt don’t get reset to their Legendary status, I do think it’s a bit of a slap in the face, when the only reason I transmuted in the first place was from thinking that even if they wouldn’t be upgraded automatically as Ascended weapons were introduced, worst case I would simply need to collect the Ascended stats I wanted and transmute it again, as I didn’t really want Soldier stats on my weapon(s). This new way of handling the stats on the legendaries however, are something I would simply never have imagined ArenaNet to do. And it’s awesome, so thumbs up on that ArenaNet.

Hopefully this patch makes a pass through the database, looks for the Legendary skin/ID, the Transmuted status, and revert it back to Legendary.

Edit: Seems a moderator didn’t think this belongs in the topic dedicated to the Living Story patch, even though the release page is mentioning this change being implemented.

Would be nice to see a dev answer these important questions. Lots of us transmuted their legendary.

- Will I be able to change stats on my transmuted Legendary?
- Will my transmuted legendary receive stat boost?
- Will the transmuted Sunrise/Twilight be able to be used in crafting Eternity?
- Will the note ‘transmuted’ in weapon description be rewritten to ‘Legendary’?
- Some mention gem store item to ‘untransmute’ their weapon. Is it true and what is the gem price?

A simple yes or no would be nice Anet just saying….

I transmuted all four of mine simply because PVT stats wasn’t what I wanted. Hopefully there will be some way to get it back to legendary status.

With this update coming I don’t see how ANet can ignore these threads any longer. We need to know.

Why do you need to know? It’s not like you can impact it in anyway.

Easiest way to determine what Anet will do is to look at the impact a possible change would have on gold/gems/money. Will changing their ability to be transmuted increase or decrease the amount of gold spent on legendaries and their components? If the answer is “decrease” you can bet your gold that they won’t do it.

It is less about “needing” to know and more about setting an expectation. They will have a mountain of disappointed users if they don’t address our mutual concerns, and with their lack of response, we are all grasping at straws in regards to their intended behavior on patch day.

Also, yes, unfortunately a moderator moved my thread. You also can’t PM the forum moderator to contest their decision. This is largely getting overlooked due not being in the SAB2 subforum.

I assume moderator made a mistake. Maybe we should repost there with a note to mod?

I would very much like to hear a definitive answer to this question as well.

Of course we could go through the effort of crafting and transmuting once more but that would defeat the purpose of having a purple name-tag to call it legendary.
I do hope the un-transmutation things will be implemented, as that would solve the problem in all cases (even for those players who switched their legendary from and to different alts).

Unfortunately, this question hasn’t been answered in this thread or any of the others relating to the topic. That concerns me, but like you guys, I hope they’d implement the un-transmute item with this patch if they don’t have a plan otherwise.
