If you transmute a legendary after the September patch that gave the ability to swap stats, does it retain the ability to swap stats?

I have the dreamer. Got worse after graphics patch. Going to transmute. Want to know if it retains the ability to swap stats while outside of combat before I do it.

Just letting y’all know… you can transmute or reskin it and still retain the ability to change the stats.

Just reskinned my The Dreamer to the Super Short Bow.

Doubtful this is something that many would be willing to test. Here’s a bump in hopes you get a dev response.

I know if you transmute the skin to a new item, you lose the ability to to pick stats.
But I have no idea what happens if you transmute a new skin onto the legendary.
Its plausible that it retains the ability to pick stats.

If the transmutation splitter item returns both items, the risk of testing this is not so bad. But I dont know how it works.

True, and that’s why I’m going to try it. I just have to find a skin I want first. Either way I’m going to have the answer to my question in a few days.
