There was a time people wondered about trasmuting legendaries to give them different stats than power/vit/toughness and not losing their legendary status. Now i wonder if its possible with ascended weapons ?

What i mean is, they all look really nice and all but i dont like the concept of the skins on them… I like my Foefire Essence exotic gs on my guardian and i’d like to maintain that look so…

Is it possible to transmute ascended weapon with exotic ? will it maintain 2 infusion slots and pink color of the name ?
