Guild Wars 2

I think one of the most alluring aspects of GW2 is its vast world that is filled with mysteries waiting for us to unearth…
I personally have a map completion character, but am ashamed to say that I had rushed through the whole map without pausing to admire the beauty that GW2 has created for us…

I did make a promise to myself though that the next map completion I do, will be done slowly to savor and immerse myself in this world.

For now though, I would love to have a Travel Guide done up and contributed by all you seasoned Map Explorers! Would you identify and point out “Must Go” scenic areas for each map area? Would you also post pictures you have taken of each scenic spot to tempt us all into packing our bags and setting out for the great unknown!?

Hey, I recognize those from GW2style!

On-topic: Auric Basin literally anywhere, Dierdre’s Steps (hidden garden in Mount Maelstrom), Mountainroot Lair (Harathi Hinterlands), Foefire’s Heart (Plains of Ashford)… all the places where I’ve taken pictures of my characters for GW2style are great.

I love this idea. But I must disagree with the “post must see places” aspect. Mainly for the fact, that only you, can determine what is truly a “must go to” place.
For example, the floating castle in Kessex is one of the best places in the game for me. But not for others.

I’ve always wanted to do this, When doing map complete find 3-5 places per map and take a filtered screenshot, make a sort of picture book. That way we can all enjoy the small areas the developers put their love and creativity into.

I just need to have a character that is close to 0% in order to do this with, haha!

The tomb of Saul in HH. I love that place. When I was mapping with mh guard and I got there, I was like “man I forgot this place was here!” Reminded me of the catacombs from GW1.

The JP that’s a hat tip to the goonies is great too, also in HH.
