Trolling with Faucets

I may still end up on the same map, if it’s not full. Especially if I’m in a party.
And all the faucets in my house only have water…
Today I’ve encountered a troll using swiftness faucet on the spiral jumping puzzle in Caledon Forest. Annoying other people with random swiftness became way easier thanks to revenants, so please give us an option to block/disable buffs from other players.
Whereas I sympathise with you, it’s not actually a problem with the class or class mechanics – it’s a problem with the individual player.
You can give Swiftness to yourself so it’s not unexpected. Jumps are much easier with Swiftness than without.
An option to right-click a buff and click ‘Remove’ has been requested several times over the years, primarily to counter this exact method of trolling. Those threads never garnered a response and no option has been implemented. Sadly, we’re unlikely to ever get such an option.
- Devs – I’d even be happy with a potion being made available where, upon consuming, it will prevent you from acquiring the swiftness buff from all external sources for 60 seconds (meaning you can only give yourself swiftness).

Most JPs are not easier with swiftness, just certain jumps are. They are doing this for a reason, to annoy other players. Not nice if every JP is like Chaos Crystal Cavern.

This has been an issue since day one, just slightly easier with a rev.

that can’t be the problem. gw2 has the friendliest, most helpful, and best player base of any mmo.
if sumthing lik this can happen, it must be a game issue that needs resolving
How does one troll with kitchen and bathroom fixtures? And why do mine only have water?
Thank you OP. This truly made me laugh. Carry on.
How does one troll with kitchen and bathroom fixtures? And why do mine only have water?
…Oooh, it’s supposed to be FACETS.
I just assumed “faucet” meant “thing that consistently spits out boons”. Which is true either way, actually. :P

You have no idea how evil the megaserver can be. You can relog hundred times, you can guest other two servers, still in the same ip you land. Simple is not simple. Careful with the heavy words.
Oh I’d prefer got them to spit out water, trust me.

That’s a really good idea. Shame it wasn’t implemented.

I agree with you – we do have the friendliest community, which is why I said it’s a problem with individual players – i.e. the person who is trolling! The class and mechanic is still working as we want it to!

That’s because your faucet is trolling you, like the OP said…

I recently came across this guy on a street corner who said his name was Pusher and he said he was selling stuff. I couldn’t quite figure out what he was selling but it was in little bags and I think it’s bags of spices, herbs and condiments. Anyway, if you put these herbs and condiments in the water you’ll find they give you quite a boost. I suggest you give that a try. ^^
Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time for another glass of water.
ANet may give it to you.
