Trouble understanding Range.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Range
“Distance is defined in terms of units, which are essentially equivalent to inches”
I believe I read something about 1 unit is about 1 inch. So 600 range would be around 600 inches which would be about 50 feet. Or about 15 meters.

just as in gw1 i used this to practice and view how far skills reached .
just the visual helps a lot of people.
I been in this game since Beta and never truly understood this.
Okay, Guardians we know have crappy range. With a bow, my auto attack definition states I have 600 range.
600-what? It’s obviously not 600 feet, so… ?
Over 7000 hours played since pre-release and until now I didnt even know that guardians can use longbows.

Me neither. To think that was my #1 reason for buying HOT when it came out too!

When I made my original comment, I thought that guards actually can use bows but I never realized it.

lol, it’s all good, I just never quite understood the whole Range thing, I see the number and it’s like: “Yeah, okay.”
If you have an enemy targeted a red bar will show up under the skill if you are out of range to hit it with that skill. Also if your running towards the enemy and start the skill when it’s out of range as long as it’s in range at the end of the casting time it will hit.
