What kind of lunatic idea was this?

After Southsun you’d think the Consortium would be run off entirely, but no, we’ve given them the contract for restoring the same city they almost got destroyed a few years ago!

They’re already doing everything ENTIRELY wrong too, building alchemy knows what while leaving gaping holes in the bridges that span across the water. Only a bookah would leave these accidents waiting to happen while focusing on the “grand” towers and walls first. Workers may be carrying heavy loads of building materials across and unable to see and suddenly they fall into the bay, ruining lumber with them. Everyone knows you fix the infrastructure and ensure public safety first, THEN build aesthetically pleasing architecture.

Considering we have idiot-plots like trusting Caithe or “don’t pick up and move the boxes the skritt are stealing,” I suspect we’re going to be living in Consortium’s Arch before long.

Many alts; handle it!

Coming soon, Battle for LA 2.0: Consortium Edition.

Battle for LA 3.0 maybe (or 4.0, depending on what counts):

  • Shadow of the Mad King (main plaza fountain destroyed, saved from further damage by Magister Tassi and the player).
  • The Lost Shores (hello, karka! — destruction so severe it needed tons of donations of goods to help people recover).
  • The Battle for LA official (hi, Scarlet!) (made Lost Shores look like dinner theater).
  • The Rebuilding of LA by the Consortium (hi cute little thing with red eyes!) — I wouldn’t trust them either.

I see nothing conceptually wrong with trusting the consortium. When Nasa sent previous rockets into space, they’d auction off the production of the spaceship parts – meaning that astronauts would literally be sitting on the cheapest construct that Nasa could requisition.

But as has been stated above.

Karka ^^

Sometimes the lowest bidder is not the best option.

However I get the feeling that the Consortium IS the only game in town that’s not racially linked to another city.
(too bad the PACT doesn’t have a Corp of Engineers … that’s still alive, that is).
