I realized I was level 60 or so and hadn’t even gone to any of the areas appropriate for my level. So yesterday I meandered from the Bloodtide Coast down to Mount Maelstrom.

One of the funniest thing about this game so far for me is the Risen. They shamble along like you’d expect of the undead zombies they are, until they see you, and then they race towards you at superhuman speed. I’m guessing they did this to make them more difficult, but it’s extremely strange.

They are also rather annoying to fight and it seems the further south I go, the more I find. I realize there will be a lot of them in Orr but I hope it’s not them exclusively…

Good thing you never experienced Old Orr then.

They have generated a real life fear from their annoyance level.

Some risen move slow and some move faster. There are different types moving at different speeds. Part of survival is knowing which is which.

And yes, Orr is exclusively risen. Everything there, both the people and the animals, are risen. There are only red mobs, no yellow or white ones. So everything hates you on sight and wants to kill you. And this is the easy version of Orr.

Abominations = avoid they can one shot you with 25 stacks of frenzy which grows in seconds. Everything else dies easily. Risen Nobles will chase you all the way across a map with their shadow steps of infinity. Only two I hate.
