Twas the nightmare before Christmas and all though the land
Anet has laughed at their plot, and gleamed at their scam.

The shoulders did sparkle, the item quite merry.
But the gift is a trap be watchful. Be wary!

“The task is quite simple don’t worry,” they say
“The following year is the new Winter’s Presence day.”

“Though with no way to collect them or farm them,” I cry,
“The year will not help us as price soar sky high.”

“It’s fun, it’s merry,” Anet says with a grin.
“We spread seasons cheer, so all of you win.”

The gold to buy will break us, and farming will fail.
This was a horrible joke, as the Grinch now prevails.

10,000 drinks. WTF were they thinking. I get that time is the only real currency game designers have to make something “special”, but com’on. Now it’s not even grinding, it’s just not fun. Happy Holidays….

I agree. That amount is way too high. I love grinding, but I do not like wasting my time. As an achiever, it seems worth it, but time-wise, it is not.

My only regret is that I can only upvote this once.

Well, that and the other 9 achievements in the collection. They’re completely worthless and a major waste of time, thanks to Festive Imbiber alone.

I would have to agree that the 10k drinks is utterly ridiculous, only way I can see to achieve this goal is to play non stop during the Wintersday celebration and/or to spend all of your hard earned gold buying the drinks. Shame, cause it’s a really nice shoulder piece too :-(

I already have 1,500 drinks from various sources (mostly buying gifts from the trade post since I’m also going for sweet tooth by selling ascended mats and doing the reward track)

It’s tough, but should be possible if I keep up gathering and PvP’ing. I’m already sapphire so I can PvP whenever I have the time and not avoid because certain times have more premades.
