Some time ago I think I saw something on the wiki about that when you have two of the same exotic gears you can bring it to some NPC and it will give you something or something like that I don’t really remember..
If anyone knows I’d be happy if they’d tell me.

Perhaps, you are thinking of bringing/throwing 4 of same Exotic gear in the Mystic Forge, and receiving something else.

Or there are NPCs in the Heart of Maguuma that accept gear, but I think that’s Rare gear.

Or maybe it’s something I’ve yet to hear about. Dunno.

I remembered it as two exotics and not two legendary I’m sorry for the mistake
