Tybalt! (SPOILER!)
Put a memorial up for all three of the different order mentors, that would be neat!
And a portal to get to Claw Island or something.
Oh yes, yes… hard and I feel bad that the other two are forgotten as well. Have something for all three on Claw Island.

If you do it for one, you have to do it for all, it’s only fair.
I would like to see something for all three. I realize I’m probably the only person in all of GW2 that absolutely loved Magister Sieran, but it’s only fair.

Sieran and Tybalt had pathos. I will miss them.
Forgal? Eh. :\

It wont happen simply because it would be a spoiler for new players
Wouldn’t their names appear in the Pact Memorial after we killed Zhaitan or in the memorial that will be made in LA?

I actually didn’t care for Tybalt at all. I respected Forgal and I loved Sieran.
Grandpa Max and the cabbage don’t need to be remembered, only Tybalt was a true and proper hero.

The Order arcs were done quite well, Sieran and Tybalt made the PS worth doing, the Norn was alright but someone has to be last. Trahearn pretty much ruined the PS imo, they should build statues of the three while banishing Trahearn, he isn’t needed anymore.

I wouldn’t mind making a headstone for Trahearne. I am looking forward to his passing.

All should be remember. Personal opinion aside, all three gave their lives to save you, and Lions arch and the survivors of Claw island.
/salutes for Tybalt.

The only hitch to the idea of all three, is “technically” only one sacrificed their lives depending on which order you chose. So unless they make 1 statue and the figure is dependent on which one you personally chose, it wouldn’t make much sense.
Tybalt and Sieran. Nobody cared about the other guy :-p

That idea would work, provided access to claw island was instanced, much like the home instances.

But it isn’t. All three are considered dead, no matter who you chose. You only had a personal relationship with the one in your personal story. But in canon, they all died on Claw Island.

The other 2 would have no reason to be at Claw Island when the attack happened, the only ones who died at Claw Island where Lionguard.
I still think Claw Island should be a monument to those of the personal storyline who have died. I wouldn’t rebuilt the fort there, not to serve the purpose it served before the Claw Island attack. Have that location be somewhere else, I think Claw Island itself should be immortalized to those who died there. That’s just me, though

Claw island is in to strategic of a place to the sea to allow for it not to be rebuilt. even with zhaitan dead, the threat of his ships still exist, and his minions are still around. Rebuild the fort, better, more defenses, with a memorial to those who died. Claw island should be a symbol of what the races together can do
The mentors were three of my five favorite characters in GW2 – the other two were a ghost and a giant.
While I agree that letting our characters honor their mentors would make for an awesome inclusion, I feel that more subtle tributes would be more suited to their legacy.
Tybalt was an Order of Whispers agent. Having a statue to honor a secret agent seems counter intuitive. I’d be in favor of planting an apple tree in the fort on claw island (with your character using it’s political clout to make sure the tree wasn’t removed – despite protest from those stationed there). End the scene of your character walking away turn into a picture book portrait of your leaving hero and the sapling – with an unknown narrator stating that while no one would remember how the sapling got there, the trail of events which would center around the tree would stagger belief.
For Forgal I’d expect a short scene with your hero standing in a Norn shrine with statues depicting all the spirits of the wild. A Norn child recognizes you as a pact commander and mentions several of the spirits you remind her of. In response you recount the final moments of the last priest of Dolyak and how your hero and many others were only alive today because of his actions. Girl gets excited and proclaims she too will be a priest of Dolyak when she grows up (while running off).
Seiran reference would be the easiest. Just include a cutscene in HoT where Mordremoth is personally belittling you and if your character played through the priory story, have it retort with a mention of Seiran, followed by one of Seiran’s quotes before stabbing Mordremoth in the foot (everyone else just gets to stab foot without witty comeback).
As a side point, I believe it completely feasible that the mentors from all three orders died in the attack on Claw Island – as all had leads which led them to investigate just as the attack came.
As a side side point, seeing as my necromancer is getting a greatsword and Majory got to imbue her greatsword with the spirit of her sister, I dont want to honour the memory of my mentor. I want to go back to claw island, shove his spirit in a greatsword and proceed to clobber dragon minions to death with it -.-

Tybalt and Sieran are two of the best characters player characters get to interact with in the game IMO, would love to see some sort of a memorial.
A simple apple tree would be perfect for Tybalt. Not sure what would be best for Sieran. Something that symbolises her spirit for adventure.
Tybalt and Sieran. Nobody cared about the other guy :-p
Forgal’s death speech was epic! 9 of my 16 characters are with the Vigil because I got such a kick out of that old coot! When I make my Revenant(s), you can bet they will be Vigil as well.
I don’t get with all the Forgal hate. I found Sieran to be pathetic and I was so-so with Tybalt.
Forgal will always be #1 in my book!

I liked Tybalt and Sieran…. I’d like to memorialize them someplace. No one liked Forgal.
It’s was likely a bug, but when you purify Orr with Trahearne, the Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan can actually mention a different mentor.
“I see in your heart that you have lost someone to Zhaitan. Someone named…<Mentor>. She/He is waiting for you now, beneath the dragon’s wings…”

Guy above you does. My dad does, though me and my mom dont like him. My brother likes him too.
Forgal is awesome. The other two mentors got endless witty one-lines. The fact that Forgal only chose to say something epic as he was about to die doesn’t diminish his awesomeness. In enhances it.
Oddly enough, the biggest issue I had with Sieran (shared by a friend of mine who favoured her) was that she chose to die at Claw Island. The sudden turn in dialogue was completely out of character for her. And deciding to die because she finally had someone worth dying for? Seriously, our character isn’t that bad -.-
I would just be happy if we could put a monument or something in our home instance to remember them. Or have the Orders put up something in their base, since there wouldn’t be a conflict.
Though the idea by Gerrand in regards to subtle things would work as well. Apple tree for Tybalt, NPC gossip telling stories of Forgal’s Legend, and I don’t know about Sieran tbh.
Yes! A thousand times yes! A memorial to all three would be wonderful – the other heroes of Claw Island. I’ve battled Zhaitan’s minions on Claw Island with all three and loved then all! The memorials could be in the different order’s areas to avoid immersion conflicts.
Also, i like Forgal too. Stop hating the Norn.
Tybalt isnt dead if you haven’t done your story so it wouldn’t really make sense for new players~ plus he’s a spy he’s supposed to be unknown and forgotten.
@BrooksP: Thanks for the support. Just a small point I liked about Forgal was his regret of never gathering a family of his own. When you escort the human messanger his comment (after browbeating her) is that he would have wanted a daughter just like her, just more stubborn.
Eir and Braham are focused on on their legends being sung across Tyria. Forgal always came across as being more concerned about the results of his legacy (and his simple decisions) then the amount of glory or praise which would be heaped on him as a result. I suggested speaking of his legacy to a child not because he wanted to be remembered, but because the off chance that a child would decide to follow in his footsteps would be to achieve the sole thing he regretted never having been able to do.
I’m not hating Fogal cause he’s Norn, I hate on him cause… that man was far too grumpy, far too superior in attitude over me, personally that I felt like no matter what I ever did there was no pleasing that man. Pfffttt…. Reminds me too much of my grandfather.

So..because he was a norn. xD

No no… I like that guy in Pre who said he loves Moots, and every day alive is worth celebrating, oh and I like Braham and Eir… Uh… Fogal… just need to get drunk more often. Hey, I even like that weird Norn standing at the bridge before the Priory who picks a fight with you for no reason!

Yes, make it happen!
I wish Tybalt had been the secret Master of Whispers. That would have been awesome.

I am worried, honestly, and I’ll tell you why. This discussion, for the new players, and/if they include a memorial for the 3 Order members who sacrifice themselves at Claw Island, I can see why Anet would NOT do this.
Why?
New players to the game? It would be a hideous spoiler for them
I doubt there can be a way that Anet could get around that

Sieran never died though. She escaped with her perma mist form before being struck dead and got lost at sea and through a series of events leading to the destruction of the ship that found her she got amnesia, changed in appearance and refers to herself as Owain now and is driven into madness. The undead are all liars and can’t be trusted.
The memorial should be something simple, and not name any specific names. A small plaque and three trees.
“In memory of those who died so others may live.”
An apple tree.
A cherry tree.
An oak tree.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
Seiran was the first (and really only) character in the story that I cared about at all.
Then personal story being as rubbish as it is just offed her in a rather daft way and then went, "OK. Moving on."
Then she finally gets mentioned again as being one of Zhaitan's minions while they taunt you to try and break you and get you to join them, and I just think... "But she's a bloody Sylvari... And so am _I_! Do you even lore!?"
A shame fun things could not simply be fun.

You mean there are not already tremendous spoilers in the game? Even if you manage to avoid the wiki, the forums, and lots of game content?
Well, you know what I mean, Tybalt, Seiran, Forgal… they’re not mentioned much if at all after their loss in the Personal Storyline. Yeah, there always gonna be those who will seek out the spoilers, but… even last week, a new player and I spoke, and how this player just adored Tybalt (as many of of do) and was unaware of what happens to him cause she hadn’t reached that point in her storyline yet. There are those who truly do not know.
you should be able to plant apple tree in home instance upon finishing PS imo
