I know i can google this and after 10 minutes of reading i may find an answer. However, im sure someone out there can ( and would love ) to give me the quick and easy.

I am Mastery LVL19, trying to get the auto loot thing but i ran out of MP.

What are some quick things i can do to grab some more from tyria?

Since we do not know what you have done, here is a full list: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mastery_point_unlocks Do note that, for the Hero achievements, a mastery point is only awarded the first time you complete the personal story arc for that level.

You can also open your achievements panel, and look for any achievement with the red star in order to gain Tyrian mastery points.

I think there are way too few mastery points available in regular Tyria. HoT has plenty, but you can only spend those on HoT masteries. For regular Tyria MPs, it appears we are expected to buy LS2

There are 66 mastery points available for core and only 49 are needed to max all three tracks (surplus of 17, if you don’t want to google the math).

Of those, the following are considered by some to be difficult and/or gated:

  • 5 points related to 3-headed worm.
  • 12 points in LS2 (4 from Dragon’s Reach, 2 from Gates of Maguuma, 2 from Echoes of the Past, 2 from Point of No Return, 2 from Entanglement)

That means, no, you don’t need to buy LS2 to max the Tyrian masteries.

You do, however, have to be careful in which tracks to complete, if you are unwilling to do some of the other unlocks. If you don’t plan on doing a lot of fractals, just get help (friends/guild/PUGs) to complete the easier chieves & use those points for Pact Commander and Legendary Crafting.
