Who keeps coming up w the outfit designs???

Give us some cool outfits… I really, really wish there were some outfits that looked like RL street clothes. Tired of the ‘heavy armor’ look for my guardian >_>

A running gag about gw2 armor design is that everyone either has trench coats, dresses, or EPIC FLAMING ARMOR YEAH

Considering they removed all of the more modern day style town clothes when the wardrobe came in (well, converted them to tonics which amounts to the same thing) I think it’s unlikely they’ll add outfits in that style.

However there are some outfits that look more like regular clothes than armor. Check out the Cook’s Outfit (which has a totally different look on each race), Monk’s Outfit, Jungle Explorer Outfit. For something a bit more formal there’s the Wedding Attire and Noble Count Outfit.

I’ve checked them all out. I settled on the chain top and pants…

I’d be more tempted if many of the outfits were not so ornate. As it is I’ve only gotten 4 or 5, and just use Pirate Captain (sans hat) and Jungle Explorer at that.

Whereas I’m pretty much the opposite. I’ve only bought the Noble Count and Wedding outfits because what I want from town clothes is a kind of ‘fancy casual’ clothing for situations where my armor isn’t appropriate.

I did buy the pirate outfit too but I got it refunded when the wardrobe came out because I don’t like using the whole thing together or having to use 1 dye scheme for it all.

I have about 8 outfits … and they are good … but it would be nice to get some armour skins back in the gem store … customize your look instead of seeing the same outfit over and over in LA just with different dye colours … a healthy balance?

Is this thread about the new Nature’s Oath outfit in the gem store? Because those boots don’t match the outfit and ruin the whole thing. :/

I actually thought the boots were the best part, lol… If only I could buy them seperately

I think outfits should be fancy and spectacular. armor should still look like armor, but still we need town clothes in some way or another (and not tonics, I mean a way that we can dye them too)
why not have them as armor skins too? It can’t be that hard to have them available as skins for all armor types.

ah yes.. the druid armor… ehhh i mean outfit. Nah.. wouldnt make too much sence to have that as armor…especially cause the boots might be not the taste of everybody. Oh well.. a-net, you never cease to amaze me since the release of HoT…
