Guild Wars 2

Hey,

I need a change of atmosphere. Is there any place in Guild Wars 2 (HoT included) where I could farm and fight underwater, or do anything of any significance underwater? I’m obviously not expecting the same results as the rest of the game, but if all underwater areas give 10x less then obviously no point bothering.

Mussels for fresh water pearls are “HoT” in the underground areas of Tarir!

Around Southsun can be fun (for a while). Some fairly regular material drops and hitting the sharks on the south of the island is a lot of fun for me.

About all I can think of is swimming the waters of Orr to gather seaweed and coral. Seaweed sells because it is hard to farm a lot of it (not many nodes) but guild halls need hundreds of seaweed, and coral T5 and T6 can turn into amalgamated gemstones. While you’re down there you can come across underwater events like defending submarines if you want to do underwater combat.

^this would be my surgeon also, there are alot of underwater events in the Orr maps.

Some maps, especially Bloodtide have a lot of underwater ore nodes to gather from. I have found a good place to level is in Mount Maelstrom and the yellow underwater mobs. Pretty much anywhere in Orr is good for underwater combat.

I personally love the underwater parts and wish they’d be expanded upon.

Southsun used to be decent for farming t5 and t6 blood from skelk. They nerfed the number of skelk some time back but you can farm there for a change in pace and see what you get.

Honor of the Waves (dungeon) has the last third or so underwater
and Orr has a lot underwater
