So, will we ever get to return to these maps in gw2?

Maybe as a fractal or something they could work, but otherwise why would you want them to just rehash old content into GW2?

I would dance a jig if FOW made a return. Heck, I go to GW1 from time to time to just do a FOW run.

^this.

I did ask this a long time ago, and most people at the time complained that it was too human centric. Why would a chart want to go to a human gods domain etc.

Now I would argue why would a Charr go to FoTM, or in to the mists in general. They don’t believe in gods etc. I just want to go back there because I’d love to see the place in all its GW2 glory.

Charr “don’t believing” in gods refers to their choice of not devoting faith to them. Everyone in Tyria knows magic, dragons and gods are real. Charr simply decided they are not worthy of worship.

The problem with adding a map from a prior game is that people are going to judge it on how it compares, not on its own merits. If it doesn’t match people’s memory of the good times they had before, then it might not matter how good it was.

Accordingly, I hope ANet never includes them in GW2 and instead offers us a glimpse to other stories that they have yet to flesh out in either game.

As long as they don’t bring back DoA, aka Dead on Arrival. The first time I went there, we got to the main boss, that huge tentacle thing, and it leapt up out of the ground right beside me and nearly gave me heart failure. I took off running and everyone laughed at me. >.>

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.
