The Account jump on sell on Aug 21th, in less than two weeks this item discounted from 2000 gems to 1803.

I love discounts, but I feel like being cheated.

First of all, it is unfair for those that already brought the account jump with 2000 Gems. As for the rest of us, who wants the item but lacks the founds, this move made by anet just made us hesitate. Is like real estate, why buy the house now if the house is on its way to decrease in price? Maybe people should just wait and see if the price will drop again?

Again, why the sudden price drop in such short amount of time?

Those of us who bought it for the full 2000 were refunded the gems discounted when we asked CS to do so. The price has dropped two or three times, in correspondence with black lion keys or other items (bank tab expansions) included in the pack individually getting discounts for the Anniversary Sale. The price goes back up once those sales end.

If you bought at the higher price, contact support and discuss getting the price difference back. That’s all you can do.

I try that when I bought watchwork tool a few days before sale. They told me I could not get 500 gems difference back.

I was never refunded the difference when they dropped the price, yeesh.

Yah. That sux.

The discount appears and disappears based on other items being discounted. If the bundle includes Black Lion Keys and Keys are discounted, the bundle gets a discount to allow for the difference so you aren’t paying more per Key in your bundle than you should. (Or for bank slot or whatever else is discounted that should therefore also be reduced in price in the bundle).

I think that might be because the watchwork tool has been in the shop for a while. It could have been expected to go on sale, since it’s such an old item.
The account jump however had been added to the store only about a week before the sale, making it highly unlikely to appear on a sale. Thus it was a bit misleading, which might have factored into anet giving a refund for it. Just speculation on my part, though.

If you get every time the discount price/ refund on everything why are there one day discounts then? O.o

The Account Bump and Jump Start were discounted when their individual components went on sale as well. So the price dropped while keys, bags and bank slots were on sale. That is totally reasonable in my book.
