Does anyone know if those gathering tools for 1000 gems are account wide? So if I buy it with one character and equip, it will be also on other characters? Or do I have to take of this tools and put to storage and then use on another account?

You only get one tool. The tool will be account bound, so you can transfer it over to multiple characters through your bank. If you buy one tool that not all of your characters will get it.

You can pass it between characters using the bank, but only 1 can have it at a time.

I don’t know why they don’t make this account wide … you can play with only 1 charcter at the same time anyway.

Because there are people who will buy multiple tools to use them on all their characters. They would lose those sales if they made them account wide.

They are account wide. I only have one set of the tools and I switch off with who has them to whomever I feel like playing with that time.
Only takes a couple of mins to open the char that has them and to put them into the bank then open the char I want to play and to take them out.

Put in bag on character. Talk to black lion weapon trader and it will make account bound. Anet make this possible when change them to account bound.

As far as I remember, all the old soul bound tools were made account bound by exchanging them.

Soulbound versions of tools could be exchanged for account bound versions at the Black Lion Weapons Specialist. If it still works is another matter. It’s been a while.

Sell account wide set of tools for 2k gems and have people with 2 more receive it free. The tools would be mailed to all characters and New characters.
