Guild Wars 2

RNG seems to be everything in Guild Wars 2, and guess what – like most people, I despise and truly hate it. There alot of items in game which are just merely cosmetic or just for fun items, such as endless tonics for instance, these shouldn’t be based on a RNG element, the players should be able to work for them.

This is a Christmas event, give the players a REAL chance at some of the goodies. How many parents in real life mess with there kids by giving them a random chance at a good present and something crappy?

I’ve played this game since beta, and I’m starting to get tired of the endless carrot on a stick chasing for anything remotely fun. My suggestion, make all the endless tonics account bound and make them actually attainable without any RNG elements period, you don’t have to make it easy, but at least players will have something to work towards instead of getting p/o’d with poor chances.

I posted something in the suggestion about a similar issue I have with the RNG and a possible solution that was done in gw1….. With the thing you said about the tonics being account bound they are account bound once you get them… My luck with them has been around 1 in 5 so 1 stack of glue/stuffing But a friend has much worse luck and has used upwards of 5 stacks.

Yeah, once you get them ~ but if your unlucky with RNG…chances are you could potentially go through 10+ stacks and the cost starts to become counter productive for something that should be a fun item which doesn’t have that much impact on the game.

I’m already passed 5 stacks without a single tonic, already getting ready to give up on trying. This is one of the many reasons people have been quitting the game over the past few months, RNG can, and will be cruel sometimes. Nothing worse than trying to get something you want and for the most part, any single players chances are going to be extremely low.

Considering they are nothing like the endless tonics on guild wars 1 they really should have a higher chance…. The tonics on guild wars 1 could be sold to other players for a very hefty profit on gw2 since they are account bound they are completely pointless to be put on a RNG to get them…. It’s like they are just trying to get you to pay rl cash to convert to gold to buy the materials you need to keep attempting at something that is going to only be bound to you…

Everything about this game derives from that one factor. I like this game, I just hate that’s it’s ALL about the cash shop.

This is why alot of players bypass that by cheating, which hurts the legitimate players. Not only by lowering the drop rates for many items, but increasing the gold costs for items in the TP.

I don’t want a kitten tonic at all. Let me give the kitten things to someone who wants them.

I have never spent a single cent on gems and I have everything that I want/need

The RNG is supposed to make them elusive and thus, something to grind for.
