I propose that a tag be added to items that are unsalvageable, (such as Karma gear or WvW gear), so that players know that if they put upgrades into them there is no possibility of getting them back (without spending $20 on upgrade extractors).

Personally, I threw 6 superior runes of the traveller into 6 pieces of WvW gear not knowing that I would be unable to retrieve the 60g worth of runes once I was done testing the build. At the very least, it’d be nice to be able to salvage the item and, if not return any other loot, give us back our upgrades..

As a work around. Try transmutation the exotic to a level 1 white item. Shift the rune to the new whit item but leave the white items aperance and stats. Then try salvaging the rune with a black lion salvage kit.

Alternatively if u want to keep the runes to use in a another set. just transmute the wvw gear to a new gear you want but just shift the rune over and leave the stats and skin of the other item.

transmute cry + bls kit. you get a lot from dailies.

this is only way. but i agree, wvw gear must be salvageble

A lvl 1 Item wont hold a superior rune.

I’m all for this. No reason what so ever not to support this idea.

Just let “Upgrade Extractors” drop off Daily achievement bonus spins, like Instant Armor Repair Canisters, or Transmutation Stones?
