I love taking screenshots. And I like challenging myself and see if I can time just the right shot when casting skills…. but sadly there’s something that I’ve been noticing as of late: a lack of emotion.

Some of the skills that our characters use such as the Tempest shouts and the first Skill of a Greatsword for Mesmer reveal our characters’ facial expression on the matter. We see them struggling to fight, and it ends up making them feel real. But it’s rather unsettling when most of these animations make our characters have a poker face constantly. It breaks immersion altogether, and it feels off. It doesn’t help that some of the animations that actually reveal emotion have issues to when it comes to eyes. Norn and sylvari will constantly have their eyes rolled to the back of their heads for no good reason.

This lack of polish and attention is really unsettling. I can provide examples if needed.
