Upcoming balance patch?
The current PvP season ends in about a week and a half, expect a balance patch sometime after it ends.
Hey guys!
I’m currently a little bit out of the loop but I thought we would get every 3 months a balance patch. The last big balance patch, when ArenaNet butchered several classes like Necromancer and Revenant in PvE, was released 3+ months ago.
Are there any news I haven’t seen or some kind of information what we can expect with the next patch?
Really not sure why you are so excited, since the next balance patch is likely to be similar to the previous one, and the one before that, in terms of changes. So, expect more “butchered” classes…
Hi all,
We’re wrapping up work on Episode 4 of Living World Season 3 and expect to launch it in February, hitting our normal cadence of a new episode every 2~3 months. I want to give a quick heads-up here on a few topics that I know the community is anticipating, things that will and won’t be bundled with this episode.
This release will include the promised fix to AB multi-looting. The fix is simple: you can loot each of the great and grand chests once each time you complete the meta, once per map cycle.
This release will also include a new, challenging group-farming spot for leather.
This release won’t include legendary armor. We’re getting close to completion, though, and may be able to ship legendary armor with the Ep5 release.
This release won’t include a skill balance update. As we did last time, we’ll ship the next skill balance update off-cycle from Living World releases.
Mo
No, we won’t be getting one.

Considering the thread was created before Mike posted, it was probably easy to miss. ; )

NAH, it would have been one of the first things to see in the area, and given it had a dev tag on it, impossible to miss.

This thread was posted the day before Mike made his thread about LWS3E4 and the new leather farm/lack of balance patch

Quite possible to miss something that doesn’t exist. /smh
I just can’t imagine how taking years to make an armor skin is possible in the current gaming industry.
Let’s say 3 months top to make a skin (before you actually launch the expansion). Then you just add it to the game.
When your raid/collection system is slowing you down by years maybe it’s because it’s a bad idea.
It would have been much better in the first place to figure out a way for people to obtain the armor playing PvP, WvW and normal PvE content using the same system of precursor drops and mystic forging as the other legendaries pre-HoT.
