So previously, all Legendaries got a slight update in visuals.
I personally look at Ascended Armor, and i don’t feel that it is really any better looking, than regular armor sets. While i know the wardrobe let’s you replace that look with something you like, i would want to wear my Ascended armor openly so others can see, but since it seems clunky, and doesn’t have as good reflection and such, i just won’t bother at the moment.

So consider this a request, to update these armor sets, they are hard to get, so they should also feel awesome when you are wearing them.

Personally when i look at the artwork/concept art for the armor i definitely see resemblance, but the shapes aren’t the same in game, but if they were the sets would be much more awesome.

I currently have 3 pieces of the medium set, but got nothing displayed, because it looks misplaced. They really need to be smoothened out.

So yeah, i just thought this was not a complete stupid request, since A-net has shown, by updating Legendaries, that they actually do care whether or not their high-end weapons and armors look good or not.

The visuals of all Ascended gear is not the point…..and never has been. Legendary Weapons have ALWAYS been about the BLING! The two item levels are only related by general BoS stats.

The Wardrobe system has rendered any reasoning for this request a moot point. To be honest, the lackluster design of Ascended Amor/Weapons may, in fact, be intentional (to promote the acquisition of skins by other means). While players can take this as a “money grab” move, gem sales are MANDATORY to keep the servers running..it’s just a fact of this game’s economic model.

Just my 2 coppers on this issue.

Do they Really make there money for the server from the gem store ? if so they could be doing a hell of a lot better job at it nothing on there that i want i suspect it mostly ppl buying gems to turn into gold and not buying any thing on the store it self they should take a look at other games with cash shops such as EQ2

I mean Ascended Armor should at least be on-level with other skins. Male Medium for example, is too wide from behind, like a skirt, i mean this is not scotland wars 2.

I made my point already. Nobody really goes for Ascended gear only for stats… They aren’t that much more than exotic gear anyway. But then when you finally have it, it looks too bulky and clunky.

the up in stats is why i crafted ascended gear in the first place. i replace them with my favorite skins using the wardrobe. so dont say nobody goes for ascended gear for stats.. i did

The increase in stats is purely the reason why people craft it. It’s minor, but min/maxers want the best available. It appeases that crowd (which I belong to) while not alienating people who choose not to get it. The armor itself is quite hideous.
