Having started a new character I think they dumbed down the game down too much.

1- Unlocking weapon skills over levels instead of time wasn’t needed, it was more fun unlocking the skills over time and having them all to choose from instead of them over 10 levels.
2- starting the story at level 10- Shouldn’t it be upto the player if they want to start it early, or play higher level content than they level there at.
3- random dumbing down of things – like no harvesting nodes in the starting areas? And why can’t you use buckets of water or animal feed anymore, I mean dancing for cows? Thats just silly. It wasn’t hard to pick up the feed and then go over to the cow, or the same with the buckets of water.

I like the new backpacks idea. but most of them look stupid- They need to work on their looks designing.

Overall the game was not hard before so it didn’t need dumbing down, and now you have removed content and limited player choice which I don’t like to see.

Please think about the changes and what’s best for current players not just new players.

We do not have enough abilities/skills/toolbar activated abilities TO UNLOCK AT LEVEL INTERVALS! This is guild wars 2 .. be guild wars 2 please.

Other games get away with this because they provide more tools to the player overall and by the time the player is max level they have many more keybinds/available skill to use per encounter!

PLUS! !!! There is a plus, sure we can pick a weapon and have 5 skills to use but we do not pick those skills .. EVERY class at MOST picks 3 skills, 1 heal that really is effective, 1 elite that is effective and w/e utilities fit your build … either change the design of guild wars into a mmo class clone or be guild wars 2.

P.S
Re-instate all the markers on the map!
A busy map is a happy map.
A busy map keeps a player moving and excited.
A busy map breeds motivation.
Don’t level lock POIs,Skill points or Vistas, they require motivation, skill and sometimes teamwork NOT LEVEL!
Maps look dead now.
Consolidate all available quests/activities into ONE easy to see easy to click quest detail similar to the personal story. The closest activity that yields XP should be focus, not 3 yellow spam text blocks and an orange text block with a green text block thats level locked.

Remove the level locking nonsense from weapons, when a player equips a weapon for the first time tell them.

No swimming either? They have just locked too much content behind levels.

Points of interests, Vistas, off hand weapons etc are not rewards. They were there from level 1 before!

Agreed. Other MMO’s have more skills, and you level up those skills as you level your character so there are things to work towards to keep yourself strong enough to be able to take on content at your current level. Guild Wars 2 has none of that, and it has a fairly small number of skills and a limited action bar. With all of these skill locks, Guild Wars 2 now feels like a very bad F2P MMO but with jumping puzzles and WvW.
