I know there are many more pressing questions desired to be answered, but I can’t help but think of the old Prima Strategy Guide made for the game back in 2012, and I wonder, with all of the changes coming to GW2, as well as changes already had, will their be an updated strategy guide released along with the expansion? Especially considering that the expansion will bring about core foundations for the game.

amusingly I browsed through one today and it had amusing things in it like elementalists should stay away from the dagger setups in pvp, and other great gems.

also the stat tables were quite amusing stating naked stats and obviously with gear on.

edit; i am too tired for this, sorry for overuse of ‘amusing’, etc. Ugh…

I like the part about the dye seeds. Always entertaining.

I do but for the fun of looking back from later…not to gain any kind of strategy. There are too many sites that have better advise than any of those things.

I’ve never found the Prima guides much good. Even for single-player games back in the days when games never got updates after release. The info on the stats, items etc. might be (mostly) accurate but the strategy was always terrible.

I remember one for the original Pokémon games which started by informing you that the name is said ‘Poh-Kay-Mahn’ and the plural is ‘pokemons’ and went downhill from there….

I think the Prima guide (I think it was Prima) for Masters of Orion 2 was pretty good. But for MMOs, when everything can change patch to patch for balance issues, it’s nothing more than a printed wikia wiki that doesn’t get updated anymore.
