I’ve tried searching the forums and the FAQ, but no luck.

My question is: can I upgrade the digital version of the game to Heroic?

Actually, the standard edition is the Heroic Edition. The name changed (and some items included) at the first anniversary.

As noted, you can upgrade your account to DDE for 2000 Gems in-game, or purchase a Heroic (standard) Edition for 9.99US or a Digital Deluxe Edition for 14.99US right now. (They have extended the sale hours to about 4 1/2 hours [9AM PST] from the time of this post ).

There is a deluxe upgrade (which is higher than heroic) in the gem store for 2000 gems. It is under the upgrades tab in the in-game gem store.

Well you can. Here is how:

1. Buy an 18-slot Mithril box from the TP. Cost about 2g 60s.
2. Buy one of the following armors from the Gemstore: Krytan (medium), Primeval (heavy) or Profane (light). Cost: 500 gems
3. Buy 10 experience boosters from the gemstore. Cost 1050 gems.

Those three things are the only difference between the Standard and Heroic editions. (Personally I’d skip the boosters.)

Or as Lazaar said you can upgrade to Digital Deluxe for 2000 gems. And it has been on sale in the past, so since nothing in it essential to playing the game, it might be a good idea to wait.

Basically, that’s what I wanted to ask – if I get the DDE edition for 15 euro, can it be “applied” to my standard edition? So, the answer is yes

If you buy it on the regular store, the upgrade will only apply to the new account you buy, as it’s another copy of the game.
