If you were to infuse a gem with the exotic karka amulet, does it lose its account bound status?

lv80 with skills fully unlocked, warrior, elementalist and engineer
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.

Nope. Mine is still account bound even though I have an exotic gem in it.
