I just thought of this…..wouldn’t it make more sense to have to go to the nearest way point before using one instead of just hitting m and picking one? It would make more sense lore wise too.

EX: In order to go to divinity from Orr, I have to find a way point near me.

I wouldnt mind that idea. NPC’s already do that in game. They run under a waypoint and then disappear. However I doubt ANET would do that, It would make things complicated and im sure they’d have to change the current system.

While the idea is interesting, i doubt they are going to change this. Why? Because the game is not designed (especially maps and encounter content) for waypoints to work this way.

Also it’s more of a hassle than the current system, which is more in tune with GW1 where you too where able to zone from anywhere to pve hubs.
