I have tons of it, what should i do with it?

I want at least the vendors the option to allow to sell salvage kits and mining stuff for karma again, come on thats so cheap of you to give it for months and and on some shiny day to remove it!

its fine with me it was intended to be sold for gold, but give us the optional possibility ANYWHERE in the WHOLE WORLD to get kits / picks for karma, after some heart quests if you dont like it to give it to us the easy way and have us to run to some god knows hidden area..

we really need kits, we need racial armor sets, we need runes of holding all could be karma based and not kill the economy. As it is they are all gold only. It’s weird.

OR we could have other mats available to other crafting disciplines other then just Chef.

Actually there is a place on the new zone to buy orich picks for karma, you have to do the demolishonist event in the cove below the hive just right of the ramp going to the reef rider area from point lion. The npc after the event becomes a karma vendor that sells only the picks.

I beat this horse to death during the first month of the game only to have Lindsey Murdock come back with something along the lines of:

Its great! We need to watch our gold sinks too! You can get lots of unique skins with karma! And SOME (very very few) bundle items (which nobody actually uses) too!

If you play dungeons and don’t give a **** about Legendary weapons like me i’d get Spy Kits. Spy Kits is all i’m wasting my Karma on since fractals

I’m gonna take a wild guess that English may not be your native tongue OP? I’m pretty sure I’m picking up what you’re putting down there though.

To my best knowledge there still are some karma vendors, though they’re very sparsely populated though, where you can still purchase scythes, axes, and picks, not sure about slavage kits though. I know for a fact there’s such gathering items available in Orr though from some karma vendors. I feel 99% confident in saying that they are Account Bound as well so we can’t “launder” the karma for cash (so to speak) as well. Why they can’t greatly broaden the amounts and types of items (at least for crafting) by just setting it all up as Account Bound so we can’t “launder” it if that’s what they want to avoid I have no clue though.

Outside of that, there’s saving to apply toward a Legendary, purchasing a different set of exotic armor to fit a different build / purpose (I think that’s the way I’m going with my quickly piling excess now), say one set for PvP or DPS, and another for groups and dungeons or survival.

Or like the poster above said – Forge fodder? (Although I wouldn’t be surprised to see them put the kabosh on that possibility too if it gets to lucrative.)

Lol, YOU say it’s useless while others of us are trying to get as much of it as we can (including me) for the crafting of a legendary. If you can’t use it all, then so what? I am sure they will make more purchasable trinkets in the future, until then try to just ignore your glaringly large pile of karma ^__^

I know, right? And what was so wrong with having a merchant that sold everything for karma? I see them referenced in older guides, but alas they are gone. The convenient ones that loitered in big cities.

You can get orihalcum gathering tools for karma in Southsun Cove. The camps spawn a karma vendor (like in Orr) if you complete an event, which will turn an NPC into a karma vendor.

I don’t understand why Karma is such a useless thing in the game. Personally I find it to be the best currency they created. It’s not impacted by botters or gold sellers, inflation is directly controlled by ArenaNet, it only rewards playing the game and doesn’t reward playing the Trading Post, there is no “luck” or RNG to worry about – if a player has a karma item it’s because they earned it by playing the game and it’s awarded by almost every single piece of content you can play in the game outside of sPvP. Let’s not forget that karma vendors are scattered across the entire world, so accessing their wares would involve participating in this huge world ArenaNet created and not just repeating the same FotM dungeon that people have been grinding away at.

I don’t understand why more armour skins (and exotic sets with different stats) aren’t added to karma vendors. Add some new event or chains that involve collecting items or working across maps to unlock karma vendors in each zone who sell exotic versions of weapon and armor skins players can buy (there are PvP armour sets that are not in the PvE game, there are also Personal Story armour skins which can’t be obtained elsewhere so if you delete them or don’t choose them you lose that option forever). Give players more things to do with karma which uses the great variety of rewards and content that already exist in the game. Give karma a broad use which has a variety of options.

EXCELLENT points there above. If anything, I’d say karma as currency is still a vastly untapped resource for adding varying content and rewards to the game. The poster of the above has firmly and squarely applied a heavy and dense fastening device forcefully to an equally dense, slender and cylindrical pointed fastening medium there! There is so much karma could be used as currency for that would by it’s nature, absolutely require the player actually achieving whatever goal set by the game’s design and earning it! Truly excellent point!

Also, as another poster also pointed out. I believe at the very least you can rest easy just stock piling it because they are bound to roll out something new in the future that you’ll be very glad you did save it for.

Recalling when I first reached 80, I wished I had bypassed all those karma purchased upgrades as I leveled that I just spent more karma upgrading an hour later making all those pre-80 purchases completely useless. This time we’ll have a healthy stockpile when they role out some new Shiny to spend it on down the road.

However you choose to look at it right now, I wouldn’t hardly think that all that karma you’re banking is gonna be a waste in the long run friend
