What is the point exactly in giving chests for achievements that give completely useless items that are soulbound. I opened the chests on my guardian and was rewarded with a set of PvP light armor, and a PvP molten longbow both of which are soulbound.

Really? Is that a bug or just a bad joke?

PvP items from AP chest are random.

put them into the pvp locker and they will be account bound…

Contact support and see if they will give you the gems/gold you spent on the items back.

he opened one of the new chests but complains that the pvp items are souldbound

solution is simple:
if you put them in pvp locker you can take them out with any other char and they will be soulbound to the character who takes the items out of the pvp locker….
you can then put them back to the pvp locker to give them to another character.

You can also salvage them with the pvp salvage kits for components to make whatever it is you want.

there are 3 pvp lockers in the south

you can use them to preview any equipment too which is very useful

The items were probably created before release, and everything was made soulbound. Later they decided to make some items Account Bound, but it would take too long to go back and edit hundreds of items just to convert them. Anyone who actually cares about them – people who play PvP – would quickly find out that it doesn’t matter, and anyone who doesn’t play PvP will never use them anyway, so there’s no point in taking people away from fixing bugs and such to change them.

I don’t PvP, got the same soulbound items, and figured it out in a bout five seconds.

I didn’t get any PvP gear with the 500 chest. Probably because I have never done PvP and probably never will. I got some blue print for a cart or something I sold on the TP, some PvP boosters I wish I could sell, and a magic find booster.

How many chests have you opened? First chest is for 100 points, second is 500, it was with the 500 chest that I got the Pvp gear. The 100 chest gave those boosters.

Btw that’s not truely correct either as the actual chests with the real rewards in them pop up on the side of the screen much like daily chests do. These other chests that had the boosters and pvp items are sort of bonus chests that we have to open from our inventories.

That’s it. I didn’t look at the other item for the gear in my inventory closely. I didn’t double click it because I was afraid of what might happen.
