I’ve logged so many hours into Guild Wars 2 this past 1 week and 2 days since I’ve started playing.
I’ve made a Warrior and have been enjoying him very much.. mostly with Greatsword and Hammer.
I’ve joined an amazing guild of people who I truly care for now and see a long future with them. Everyone’s been so nice and friendly to me and it’s been REALLY awesome speaking with them on Teamspeak and doing all sorts of made-up events with them everyday. They even make you a trial member for a couple weeks to see if you actually do really care <3

I’m level 56 and still have a lot to learn o.o
I’d like to try PvP and do better at WvW but I wonder where to learn how to PvP better and get better gear, learn my skills, my specializations, and everything?

I’m just addicted to GW2 and want to better myself as a player and guild member who is useful and know what he’s doing.
Right now, I don’t really know how to properly build my warrior (And other professions in the future) PvE and PvP Wise.

I’ve got a lot to learn, huh?

For pve, it’s personal preference, but most go full berserker, as for pvp go to metabattle.com to see the best builds for each class.

I hate to tell you this bud, but warriors aren’t really the best for PvP. You’ll probably learn this on your own. They’re not bad, but they’re not really any good either.

You’re probably better off asking your guild mates to help you get started on a good build.

But if they suck, metabattle.com is a great place to just get started. pick up a build from their and work it to fit you.

Necros are easy to pick up, super strong, and one of the best in PvP at this moment. I use necro for high lvl fractals as well as PvP.

But yes, great game, enjoy your personal story and living world stories

great attitude OP and you will enjoy the game more for it. The trick to loving the game is not be tempted to research the ‘perfect build’ and avoid ‘minmaxing’ instead play the game as mmorpg used to be played and set your own goals based on what appeals to you and explore your skills and builds as you go, you’ve got a long fun journey ahead of you

Welcome.

Regarding pvp, your character is up-scaled to lvl 80 and you get all abilities/traits/specializations. Weapon and armor stats are also equalized. So the only thing separating you from your opponent is skill. You change your build in the pvp build panel (middle top of screen) when you are in the pvp lobby.

Wvw also up-scales you, but still uses your pve gear and abilities/traits. So you’re still at a disadvantage until you get to level 80 and get some decent gear.

Hey, welcome to the game! I hope you have many years of fun in Tyria!

Hope the game stays for so long though. . . . .
I feel like I am already to late to the party starting in 2015.

Hey! Another new player! Me too! This game is great isn’kitten Wait until you see the HoT maps! They are amazing. …albeit amazingly frustrating at times. But it sounds like your guild is supportive, so if you do find it difficult to tackle on your own, you can bring friends.

Also, feel free to add me to your list and hit me up in game. I’m usually down for running around in the jungle bumping into things!

If you are not in a World tournament team like razor , Warroir does perfectly Fine if you know how to play to the warroirs strenghts of higher armour and decent Hp with ample weapons.skill choices for Rampant CC + damage , there is no point in going Full damage as a warroir anymore (just like in gw1 warroirs were the Frontline fighters not the Teams damage source they held the front line and back away when the backlines got pressured too much covering the team mates , classes that focus on backline pressure like mesmers/thiefs and Driving ranger you know the Gs one that dive deep and pressure these are generaly squishy and it don’t really require Beserker gear to kill these specs)

Check out QQmore.net on youtube great beginner tips , maybe even somthing you never knew.
