Violation of the law of conservation of mass

I just got off the WoW GD forum to see this?
sniffs
I smell troll….
I just wanted to make a science joke. :-/

I legit lol’ed! 10/10, would read again.
-Mike O’Brien
Because we can’t be angry about both?
I wanted to lol….
However, considering some of the things people have brought up as ‘legitimate’ gripes on the forum recently…. I just couldn’t do it.
I just wanted to make a science joke. :-/
Most science logic in a game forces a “404: logic not found” error. Otherwise, how can you explain a character carrying up to 40 thousand gold ingots? Or 40 thousand planks of wood? Not only is the first example going to weigh quite a bit (possibly several tons), the second example is going to be awkward to carry considering the planks are going to be up to 6 feet in length.
I laughed. >.> Don’t fret, timmy, there are nerds who got your joke.

Ok, that made me chuckle
I’d go with winter/summer weight. Those types of aquatic mammalians need to bulk up to survive the vicious cold months!
I’m going with mammal even though they lay eggs.
Wormhole bags are bigger on the inside. They’re also like quantum physics: nobody understands how it works, but everybody agrees that it does work.

Platypi are mammals and they lay eggs…

We stole the technology from Mary Poppins back in the 1960s. We still don’t know how that bag works, but it sure is handy!
Platypi are mammals and they lay eggs…
Which is why I was going with mammal!

Lol. Well, you made the comment that you were going with mammal, despite the fact that it lays eggs. I was just pointing out that some mammals actually do.
But DnD also has bags of holding, which are much like worm hole bags. Maybe thats what all of our bags are, bags of holding with different pocket dimensions. But for the variable weight of Doobroosh, it would seem that his petuitary gland is somehow flawed, and with the hormonal imbalance this dramatically effects his size and weight.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
Megatron laughs at your mass convervation, puny human.

That would make sense if he were eating, but do you ever see him eat?
www.getunicorned.com / northernshiverpeaks.org
I’ve never seen him in game so…..
Maybe he hides food in his cheeks, like a hamster. It’s just not noticable.

no, no, don´t diminish yourself, your point is well in the range of viability, severity and reasonability common for complaints in this forum.
I just wanted to say how sad I am that a mod edited my trollbait title even though I understand why you did it.

I’m more concerned about the fact that Suriel is apparently a Quaggan. >.>
Its the hormones in the food, dude. The Consortium and the Inquest are trying to control your brains using hormones they “accidentally” dumped into the water. Thats why my characters only eat Dragonfly cupcakes.
In the image you posted of Queen’s Gauntlet foes, you list Doobroosh as having a variable weight of 150-450. (I think, don’t have it in front of me.)
This is OBVIOUSLY a VIOLATION of the law of conservation of mass. Did you not think your players would notice?
You are mistaken.
Mass and weight are not (quite) the same thing. Of course Doobroosh’s mass remains constant, but gravity fluctuates to produce a variable weight.

I thought that might be the case at first as well, but the variable “weight” is listed on international language options as well. Those should be in kilos. So mass.

Nope : )
It is well known that Quaggans have the ability to transfer mass into excess vowels when calm, often expelled as long “OooOOOoooo” sounds, and reverse this process when angry…. “K$tt#ns!”
As long as this thread continues, the conversation of mass will be maintained.
OooooOOoooo~

This is the fun police. We have you surrounded. Come out with your hands flat against your outer thighs.
The ‘Quaggan’ Suriel seemed more of a violation than anything else there. Lol.

Your science joke is ILLOGICAL and completely false for reasons that have already been explained.
kudos if you can catch the reference
Little known fact: The engineer Elixir S uses reverse-engineered and modified quaggan growth hormones to produce the amazing shrink effect. Many baby quaggans are harvested daily for mass production of the stuff.

Where do you even get these images you’re talking about? Do I have to scan some Facebooks, Twitters or Tumblrs for it? Because I definitely do not see them neither on the official site nor the Dev Tracker.

For your convenience, taken from Facebook.
(recycled joke alert)
Also the fact Suriel is a Quaggan is surreal!

Thanks for delivering the official content back to the official site.
Does that picture that players who missed the first iteration won’t have a chance to meet the notorious Liadri?
No, I seem to remember that this is just the first tier of the gauntlet.
An appetiser so to speak. I’m sure Liadri will still be that full blown dessert that smothers you.
It’s true, Sheldon Cooper plays Guild Wars.

And I know the white knight ArenaNet apologists will run in here to claim that matter is conserved and Doobroosh is just converting energy between forms, but if that’s true, why wouldn’t they just come out and say it? Are they too busy in China to give the playerbase an appropriate response to this glaring oversight?
Shame!
This might be a very long post if someone complains about every aspect of the in-game world that does not adhere to RL natural laws of physics…..
I would be interested in taking a gander at that list, however.

False! and illogical for reasons already explained. The science joke was just plain awful.
(See it does work for everything!)

I don’t understand WHAT the problem is here! Every time I get worked up, angry about the incompetence of everyone else, I eat ice cream or chocolate and thus gain immense mass. If that does not soothe my anger all this stored up energy inside of me explodes and I lose it! It is a well known fact that quaggan metabolism works 20 times as fast as ours in order for them to produce proper coooo sounds to attract potential mates half across Tyria.
For the adults and scientific people among us, we all learnt the formula:
Beer = Belly x Baropeninghourssquared
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
Wormhole bags are bigger on the inside. They’re also like quantum physics: nobody understands how it works, but everybody agrees that it does work.
Well, it usually works. Mine got a hole in the pocket and a bunch my stuff dropped into the abyss of he 8th dimension, but other than that…

The both of you, even though you are saying different things I’ve decided that your arguments are ILLOGICAL. They are completely false and incorrect, for reasons I’ve already explained.
(Waves hand dismissively. Ignores the points you made and then brings up a totally unrelated argument as a rebuttal).

The megaserver DOES allow for other players to work together with others from other servers. However, the addition if an in-game mass spectrometer would allow for more secure analysis of the BMI of the NPC in question. Without it the chances for correctly deducting the BMI of a player are subject to failure. As I’ve explained before.
