I was wondering if there’s a possibility of adding new voices for your toon in the gemstore or something as a future update, and maybe add some predesigned macros your toon could say outloud?

Considering the amount of lines that would need to be recorded, it is not realistic to have new voices.

However, having some new lines that one could use like emotes could be fun. As long as spamming was somehow disabled and other players could choose whether they want to hear them at all.

Some “emotes” already have space into the program code, it seems. /taunt, for example, is one of them. They don’t return the “unknown command” message. I don’t know why they didn’t implemented.

Samuel Hart – lvl 80 Necro and 20 more toons… well. Yeah.

^ This, even though I wish it were a possibility. I reeeeeeeeeally don’t like Nolan North as the human male voice. He’s a great voice actor in most of his games, but in Guild Wars he just doesn’t fit in my opinion. They way he throws out his usual one liners (which in the context of this game are pretty cheesy and borderline annoying) and his general tone overall is actually a bit immersion-breaking for me. I think someone like Roger Craig Smith would’ve been a million times better.

Your character didn’t get to speak outside of dialogue menus throughout the entire Living Story because it was too difficult to get the voice actors in to record all the new dialogue, especially with new story coming every 2 weeks.

That makes me think it’s unlikely they’ll add new voices, because it would only add to the amount of work they need to do and the number of people they need to schedule in to get it done, each time new dialogue is needed.

A pitch slider would be an interesting way to change the experience. I think they’d have to have it be local only, so if I say something, I’d hear it pitched changed, but if it’s a shout other people hear, I’d hear it pitch changed, but they’d hear it in normal human/etc voice.

I just want my Necromancer to sound like a Lord of Darkness in flippin’ combat… “Your soul is mine?” Yeah… right… I believe that…
