Voice Activation In Dungeons/Fractals ?
Nope.
A-net doesn’t need to spend time and money developing a tool which is already out there and hosted by other providers.
A-net also doesn’t need to spend the resources and moderators to watch over such voice chats. It would be incredibly labour intensive to police and would abused by trolls and harrassers.
It has been discussed before a few times. I’ll see if I can find the links to the latest threads for you

You’re not wrong it will be abused by trolls and harrassers but i reckon most people will use it properly and there will be that group of people who will just flat out be kittens.
And yes there are other providers.. but as i said there’s some people who just completely refuse to get TS and Mumble (i think that’s the other) so it makes it so hard to communicate =[ and if Anet feels like this is wanted by the community im sure they wouldnt mind introducing it?
Or they could enable chat option, so you can explain it in chat, because you get restriction if you say too much things.
@Joe Not if it will be as costly to them as I imagine it would be. They’re a business, and will only make business moves that are ultimately profitable. Developing the software (and maintaining it) is one huge on-going cost, then there’s the cost of servers to run it and also the staff to police it all.
Chances are, because of how difficult it would be to police such a thing, it would negatively affect the community. Abusers would be able to get away with anything, really. There’s not much in the way of evidence that can be supplied.
People would either: not bother using it because of the chances of getting harrassed (also known as a massive waste of time and money for A-net)
or
Leave the game because the community spirit is lost, become weary of other players because of previous experiences with hostility (which would shorten the life of GW2).
At least with Mumble, Vent, Raidcall and TS, because the servers are “private”, players can police them under their own rules and it is very effective. The users are in control of who gets in and stays in. A-net play no part in these voice comms, but overall are very beneficial to the game (especially for guilds and the communities).
Aside from things like console FPS (which require voice com because there is no way to type efficiently), is there any MMO that has effectively pulled off a voice comm system, without it being a problem for the community?
Honestly, I’d be willing to bet that many of the people who don’t opt to get on TS/Vent/Skype would also be the ones to opt to keep the option constantly on mute.

You make a very good point.
Plus i looked on those other points you pointed out (thankyou) and it looks like this will never come people raised alot of good points on why it should/shouldnt be implemented and just seems like the cons outweigh the pros

This is also true haha
