WISH LIST of changes for Guild Wars!
PvP: (taken from GW1, changed a bit for gw2)
- New PvP modes:
Priest annihilation (5vs5) mode:
- Priest annihilation is a PvP game type with the added objective of killing the opposing team’s Priest to defeat them.
Unless the priest is killed teams will resurrect every two minutes at their resurrection shrine.
- Priest have cap damage it can receive per hit and heals nearby allies.
- You can only be downed twice per game, all other times you are immediately dead unless Priest or Ally revive you
King of the hill (10vs10vs10) mode:
- also called altar battles matches, three teams fight for control of the hill (usually referred to as the altar).
The altar is a circular shrine at the center of the map.
The winning objective is to hold the altar and score more points than your opponents.
To capture the altar, lead the Ghostly Hero there. He will use a skill called Claim Resource to capture the altar.
The altar cannot be captured while an enemy Ghostly Hero that holds it is still alive.
To gain a point, you must hold the altar for 30 seconds. Every thirty seconds you hold the altar, you will gain another point.
- You will still gain the point if your Ghostly Hero dies provided no other team claims the altar.
- If two teams have the same number of points, the winning team is the team that scored last.
- If your Ghostly Hero dies while holding the altar, he (as well as any team members) will resurrect on the altar
provided no other team captures it. Upon resurrecting, your Ghost can reclaim the altar.
Until he reclaims it, other teams will still be able to claim it for themselves but you will continue scoring unless someone else captures it.
- If your team does not hold the central altar they, as well as the Ghost, will resurrect back in your base.
- Players resurrect every 2 minutes
- Game lasts for 10 minutes
- Ghostly Hero is immune to critical strikes and is immune to knockdowns, pushes, pulls and stuns every 5 sec after he was.
Guild vs. Guild (15vs15) mode:
- GvG battles take place on the Guild Islands. Each guild island features two bases and a flag stand in the center area.
The guild with higher guild rating is assigned the part of attacker, thus the lower rated guild (or defending guild) plays in their own hall.
On most maps the attacker has a slightly weaker position (for example, fewer NPCs or lower ground).
Depending on the type of Guild Hall there may be additional strategic features like catapults, portals, and more.
-The objective of a GvG match is to kill the opposing team’s Guild Lord, an NPC character, who is sitting in the opponent’s base
and has several other NPCs who guard him. If the Lord is killed, that Lord’s team loses.
- In GvG battles each guild has a flag that spawns in or near their base.
Putting your guild’s flag in the flag stand (usually near the island center) and holding it for more than 2 minutes
will give your team a 10% morale bonus:
– 10% more HP, 10% more Healing received, to players
– 10000 more HP and +3 stacks of Defiance to Guild Lord for the rest of the match.
– morale boost is capped at 20%
– morale boost is lost on down
- In a GvG match all dead players (but no NPCs) will automatically be resurrected by the Resurrection Shrine in their base every 2 minutes
- You get one stack of “Mark of Dead” every time you are dead. At 4 you cannot be ressurected by the Resurrection Shrine nor by players.
- Morale boost removes 2 stacks of “Mark of Dead”.
- “Victory or Death!” – At Victory or Death NPCs (except for the Guild Thief and Guild Lord) advance to the center of the map, normally to the flag stand.
The first wave, containing few Archers and Knights leaves the base at 19 minutes.
The Guild Lord marches towards the center with rest NPCs at the 20 minute mark.
– Team deals and receives 10% more dmg
I got a lot more on my mind, but I will write them only if you guys like where I am going with this.
Mind you, this is only my wish list, a bit of things I would like to see changed, maybe some of them are interesting to you.
And yes, PvP things are based on Guild Wars, a bit of nostalgia from there.
Open/consume all function on stuff like karma jugs/ MF essences, maybe also on bags etc but that could cause more problems as it may fill up your bags unlike the jugs/essences
Lock function on chatchannels, that way you dont click em away accidentally
Faster bug/exploit fixes, esp in wvw since there are some around known from beta and still havent been addressed
Madness Rises [Rise] – Banners Hold.
Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.
Main things for me is the UI to work like the GW1 UI and the ability to save builds as swappable templates like GW1.
