WIll gold find effect new dungeon gold ?
gold infusion only affects gold dropped from monsters not reward chests or bags
The point of the change is to make goldfind useless. You’ll be getting the gold event/achievement style as a pop-up.
Goldfind doesnt affect the current system so I dont see why it would affect the new system…

Omnom bars coupled with Gilded infusion makes 70% gold find which is significant when some bosses drop a lot of silver.
Nice, we buy the most expensive infusion the game got, just to throw it away after half a year. I take my hat off to you, aNet!

Where did you read this ? I have never seen A-Net publish anything about getting rid of gold find, only magic find.

You get the gold for completing the dungeon.
At the moment the 26 silver is the reward for completing a dungeon which doesn’t get affected by gold find.
Bye bye speedrunning CoF P1 all day long. I wonder what’s the next “fastest gold per hour” the farmers figure out.

We’re all wondering that. My guess is either a rotation of fast dungeon paths or back to the old Orr trains.

It’s also a valid question, does this slow the inflation of gold, as it should in theory reduce the rate which pure coin is coming into the game?
Probably depends on how big portion of the gold coming in comes from dungeon speedrunning currently.

I´d say as long as there is no detail whatsoever known about the way they are approaching this and recompensations it is a bit early for bitter sarcasm, isn´t it?

Bitter sarcasm is from seeing constant changes that adversely affect many of us as players. I, myself, am having trouble not becoming jaded with many of these changes.

First off, bosses in dungeons will be getting the new chests which contain things to sell, thus possibly making more than the silver they could have dropped. So, farming could still be a thing. As for the end reward with the Karma, Tokens, and silver, that gets DR’d so fast it matters so little.
Second, yes, they are killing Gold Find. The only mobs that consistently drop coin are Champions and Legendaries. This poses the question of change/compensation. They hinted at a conversion for all those running Magic Find, but ignored the Gold Finders. Having spent the extra Laurels for the Infusion (and second necklace to put it in), it would be nice to see some kind of nod in the direction of Gold Find as Magic Find is getting. I can agree with the “you got some use out of it” argument against it, but in that case both Finds should just be ignored.

Magic Find is getting removed from gear. Gold find is not. Gold-find will still work because it will still exist for regular mobs, but the Magic Find won’t be there at all.
Your gold find will still function like it says. My magic find is going to be scrapped likely for some R-turded new stat combination nobody wanted. The comparison is not at all the same.

Gold still drops from mobs…which is the only thing GF works on anyways.
magic find is being removed from armour, and then added as account bound proc on salavging blue/green
