i transferred before for free, I only did it once. Can a dev answer as to why it’ll cost 1800 gems to move back to start a guild with friends?

We also just spent $300 bucks on 16,000 gems for four family members… can we get a free move with that?

Because transfers were never meant to be free.

It was free before, since the Guesting feature wasn’t working properly. But now it is. So it is paid transfers now.

You can still transfer for free if you have no characters on your account.

I suggest you delete all your characters

They gave something like a months notice before they started charging for transfers. If you wanted to switch back you had plenty of time.

And yes you can spend some of those gems on a transfer, assuming they’re on the right account and you haven’t already spent them.

Alternatively if you delete all your characters you can switch for free.

Just to elaborate on Flamenco’s answer.. if you delete all your characters you can transfer worlds for free.

Yeah I hear all you guys, no I did not hear about it, but it would be great if they didn’t act like blizzard on this one. I do like the fact that ArenaNet players give positive feedback though, thanks. If I was in another forum such as Blizzard all I would hear would be stop qq’ing/ I’m not crying about it, just depressed I can’t move now unless I delete all my toons where I would be wasting the money I already spent to get bank space

and I’m not trying to buy more gems right now just to move them
