WXP: How do you earn it?
I would believe they are indeed WvW events, otherwise I have no idea what other events they could possibly be talking about…

aye, because 3 lines of text further explaining the WXP from defeating another player may give people the impression that WXP can only be earned from defeating players only.
i.e.
“The amount of WXP you receive from defeating another player is directly related to how long the victim has been alive. Players who have recently been killed are potentially worth no points, while a player that has survived for a longer period of time is worth more.”
i dun see them mentioning something like:
“The amount of WXP you receive from capturing Supply Camps, Mercenary Camps, Towers, Keeps, Stonemist Castle is directly related to how long these objective has not been captured.
Objectives that have recently been captured give normal points, while an objective that has not been captured for a longer period of time is worth a whole lot more points."
btw killing dolyaks should offer some WXP too.
The word “event” has a very specific meaning in GW2, as in Dynamic Events, which occur in both PvE and WvW. It seems like these are the only possible vents they could be referring to. However, after they kittened up the original guild missions announcement, I’m hesitant to say for sure.

My guess is, when they refer to events, they are referring to events. So, when they say events will give WXP, that means that events will give WXP. Killing dolyaks is an event, and since they are saying that events give WXP, I would guess it is included.
Since they do not say that a supply camp, etc WXP is based on time, then I would guess that it is not based on time. They say that the longer a player is in the world, the more WXP they will give, so I would expect a player who is surviving longer to give more WXP where an event will just give a standard amount of regardless of how long the camp/tower/keep/etc has been capped.
As indigo says though, I cant say for certain as I am not an anet employee. Even if I was, I probably couldnt guarantee it would WAI right off the bat anyway.

hmmmm maybe those kill veteran monsters events in wvw does not gives WXP? or they give WXP as well?
well, since, killing npc monsters in WvW has the risk of being killed by other players, hence some WXP is rewarded for such brave act etc? lul.

well, perhaps WXP gained from the events are much more than defeating players so the amount is fixed and not varied then?

That would be what I assume. It will probably be close to the XP we already earn now, at least in proportion. Capturing something like stonemist is worth a decent amount of normal XP, so I would assume it will also earn a decent amount of WXP.
We will just have to wait and see though.
