Anet took the TP traders out of the starting zones?

Why on earth would they do that?

Amazingly bad decision in so many ways. What are they trying to do to the game?

Looking like game over. Too irritated to go on with the these annoying and pointless and largely inconvenient changes.

Yeah, these TP traders that were 2 meters from city were such an integral and fundamental part of the game that game really is over now.

Without them everything else fades!

Trading posts were hurting too many people’s feelings and were just too complicated to figure out. The word “trading” doesn’t tell you anything at all about the NPC’s function so ANet graciously removed this headache from a town that apparently makes its business by not existing.

That’s the problem with using words instead of speech, you have to try and convey your feelings. If I smile normally, people may think I am happy, but if I pull a really BIG smile then people may see that I am REALLY happy.

If I felt VERY STRONGLY about something and I had to use words instead of speech when asking a question I think that a single question mark might make me sound a lot calmer than I intend, so using further question marks might help convey that the question holds more importance.

I applaud your use of further question marks as it shows that this question is very important to you.

And if others get on my case about my use of capital letters in this post:

I don’t care.

No sorry…..I DON’T CARE!!!

I hope this helps you understand why some of us type the way that we do :-)

Don’t worry, new players won’t enter into any of the cities. Cities are too confusing to navigate in, so the game will make sure to protect the player from those evil monstrosities. If any player does happen to stumble upon one of those cities, the content arrow will swiftly guide them out.

I remember the first time I played GW2. I walked out into Queensdale, there was the symbol of the scales on my map, all shiny and new, so I walked over to them. There was a man in a fancy hat below the symbol. At this point I was getting slightly confused, I’d already wet myself. I pressed F and a new window appeared, I wasn’t sure what was happening, I thought my game was broken, there were all these words and symbols and I just didn’t know what to do. By this time I was laying on the floor in the fetal position, weeping softly.

Sometimes I still have nightmares about that day.

Thanks Anet for removing the confusing horror that was TP traders in starter zones.

I disagree with a lot of the changes to starter zones and levelling but this one doesn’t bother me.

You can still buy and sell using the Black Lion Trader window and if you want to collect the items there’s a city a few feet from the traders. It’s a good idea to visit your starter city early on anyway.

Yeah about that… veterans know this. But only yesterday, when I was briefly in Caledon, we had to point a new player to where the city was. Because surprise surprise, they are now only told about that at level 10, and then only when they actually do the story arc.

Juvenile ranger pets haven’t been removed. I was able to tame a raven at the shrine in Wayfarer Foothills, even though I hadn’t unlocked pet swapping at that point.

They also haven’t removed all TP NPCs, just the ones right at the start of the zone.

Seriously? You’re such a kitten that you can’t make common ground on something?

Over the last year and half I’ve been coming to the forums I’ve been helping people in the forums as well as in game. Some things aren’t as obvious to some people as they are to others. I don’t know the size of the gaming population in GW2 that can’t see what to do but I do know that whatever the game there will be some people who can’t see it. Some things suck about this update and some things don’t.

Have you ever helped anybody? Maybe look into whatever you were feeling then and do the same now.
