Want to play chinese version. ..
You’d need to be in China. Iirc by law their servers have to be separate from ours.
You may find answers about the China release here: https://help.guildwars2.com/home
You might need a Chinese citizenship to be able to sign up for China’s GW2. I remember they sometimes require citizen ID code similar to the U.S.’s SSN to sign up for games such as Final Combat(TF2 ripoff).

no, you don’t need Chinese ID
just buy the Chinese cd key online, download the game. sigh up.

The shoutcaster npc in pvp matches is wonderful. PvP’ers are even requesting that his voice be put in the gemshop as a purchasable alternative to the english npc voice

Just wondering if I’m missing out on something, but I can’t seem to find any Chinese language interface option in the game? I really want to pick up Mandarin, and games are usually a very good way to learn languages. Will it be available after the open-beta?

There will be no Chinese language option in our clients, before, during or after beta. (At least, at this time.) That would only be an option for the China client.

Sigh… well, that really sucks.
You need to have a real Chinese name, and Chinese ID number to register an account. Or know and really trust someone to help you open an account for you.
