Are we almost at the point where we can outright call the developers mysogininists or is that still a couple of change.org signatures away? Please let me know, I’m just itching to start throwing around baseless accusations and kittenting on years of quality and hard work.

Misogyny is lacking respect for or disliking women. https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/misogynist

I don’t recall anyone in this thread saying ANet dislikes or doesn’t respect women. All I’ve seen is arguments that men don’t get the same range of armor designs as women do, that their choices are more restricted and have less chances to show off skin, fur, glow or tattoos.

Aside from your acusation, there’s been a straight up blatant tumblerina post on this thread, so I see where such a concern about calling A-Net mysogynistic would come from.

Where did I accuse ANet of disliking/disrespecting women?

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

I didn’t reference an exact mysogyny acusation made by you, as it doesn’t exist, I said that there was just ‘an acusation’, which is the one about conservative agenda.

What I’m saying is that there was already a few unfunded tumblr style jabs at A-Net in this particular thread, which means one is not exactly wrong, when they suspect that other popular tumblr style acusations may eventually roll in.

Hmmmm. Ok. Though I don’t see how a discussion of how males don’t have as many design choices as females could possibly turn into an accusation of disliking/disrespecting women. That’s a deflection of the topic of this thread to a completely different topic. Both you and nosleepdemon are talking about a topic (hostility to women) that’s irrelevant to the thread.

Be careful what you ask for

This quote below:

Read into this quote. And don’t stop rereading it until it makes sense to you. Because it does make sense.

By the way, I wasn’t bringing up that topic, I was adressing a point made around it.

If someone makes “unfounded tumblr style accusations” then they can be refuted with facts or reported if off topic. Either way, worrying that someone might do so isn’t worth thread space. Perhaps, instead, we can get back on topic. Which is not as many armor choices for males as females.

Going back to this post.

What I said was:

My opinion is that ANet is way too conservative on the design of armor and outfits.

You’re the one who made it an accusation by putting words in my mouth by changing the point I was trying to say to:

…..you were talking about the conservative agenda of the developers…..

They can be too conservative in their designs without having a “conservative agenda” or a “conservative mindset”. That’s a twisting and changing of my point to something completely different as I was describing the armor and you’re changing it to about how the Devs think or feel.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

I want 2 things for male toons- codpieces and skimpy armor. Unless they tuck, there’d be something and not just board flat. I’m a female player and I want this. I don’t dress my toons in skimpy armor just because I don’t. I try to put a little piece of me to each of my chars and all are female. The only one who shows the most skin is my ele; she wears the gw1 necro top from the gem store. So there’s abit of chest and cleavage.

The outfits we have been getting are ugly and stiff. They lack the quality of the outfits released within the 1st 2/3 years (before the wedding attire & dresses or Balthazar outfit were released, we had outfits you could mix and match)

I’d also love more renaissance styles outfits. No more futuristic sci-fi. I’d even take a Victorian theme for the next year.

I would buy all 3 sets, if they didn’t make my characters blue…
