Like Anet said, the wardrobe system will only unlock the armor you currently have.
But there’s one thing that they SHOULD add too.

For every race, there are cultural armors. Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3.
When you have bought the cultural armor, you get also an achievement.

BUT what about the next?:
I am wearing at the moment cultural Tier 3 armor on my Charr warrior. I deleted the tier 1 and tier 2 because i liked the Tier 3 more at the moment.

Anet should add the tier 1 and tier 2 cultural armor into the wardrobe system too based on the achievements we get from buying the cultural armor. So we don’t have to buy the cultural armors AGAIN!

The wardrobe system can add the cultural armor skins in their system based on the achieved achievement as proof that you have bought it now and in the past.

I agree with the fact that the Wardrobe System will unlock the armor that you are currently equiping, basic armor that you crafted or bought from Trading Post. The cultural armor should be added based on achievements as i have foretold.

Another point: In the past with the living story, there have been so many skins (backpiece/helmet/gloves/…). We should have the ability to unlock certain skins like Fused Gloves too etc BUT for a high price we have to pay in-game. This will make the people happy too who haven’t done the previously living stories with the awesome skins and it is also a challenge for them to collect money to buy and unlock these skins for the Wardrobe System.

As someone that has also deleted a few cultural sets… because they took up space… I kinda agree with the sentiment to get them unlocked based on the title. But well… had accepted when I read about it that I had to buy the tier1 sets again, so I caaan live without. But would certainly be really really nice and make a lot of people very happy.

The LS skins? I disagree. I am cool with any gemstore skins returning as they just say you were online at some point during that time and was willing to cash out to get it. But those you had to earn? Had to play the LS? No, they should stay exclusive to those that went and got them when they were there. And no not saying that because I got all the skins… infact there are some nice ones that I don’t. But I am cool with that, I chose not to do that content or was not around to play to complete it even if I did want to… my loss. Just makes me think it is kinda cool when I see people with those skins.

The issue I see with unlocking by title, is that they don’t know which ones we bought for the title (The Emperor in this example).

We didn’t have to buy every single set, only one of each tier.

Does anyone know if th LS skins that players no longer have due to various reason will be added to the wardrobe?

I’ve also junked a bunch of t1 sets because I outgrew the look and didn’t have any other chars to put them on, plus I didn’t want to waste the bank space.

I wonder if there’s a way for them to know if you’ve purchased and subsequently deleted them in the past. That way they would know to unlock those skins for you.

nah just buy them again if u really want them its not that much money and its good for inflation

@Sera: You got a point there, good thing I had already accepted the having to buy them again already. But then it is only t1 I need for each race… t2 also for my sylvar… don’t have multiples of any race, so wont have all armor classes anyway.

Can see it being tough luck having to buy t1 and t2 and maybe even t3 if you got it only for title and decided not to keep it. But sometimes life is just unfair like that :/

I unlocked the mad king glowing backpack during the first Halloween event, but deleted it about a year ago when I ran out of space… my necro REALLY wants this skin now but I haven’t been able to get it back.

They know which of the race we bought, but they don’t know which specific armor we bought (light, medium, heavy). For instance, I bought Charr Heavy Tier 1, Tier 2, T3, but none light/medium. Then I bought Sylvari Light Tier 1, Tier 2, and Medium T3.
