Is anyone curious how this will work? I know it was said that have to equip the armor for the skin to unlock, but if you are buying say a heavy piece on your light armor class how would that work? I’m assuming that the transmutation window is gone so we can put it on things we can’t equip anymore.

Bound items are supposed to also unlock once they hit your inventory, which would include the order armors. I plan to test this with one piece of tier 1 cultural armor first (because it’s cheap) before going for anything more expensive.

I also heard somewhere that there will be an “Unlock Skin” option in the right click menu on items, but that was secondhand information so I’m not going to rely on that.

While Order skins can only be acquired by toons belonging to said Orders, they’re not restricted. People used to transmute/split the skins all the time to get skins across orders. I don’t think there will be a restriction once they’re unlocked.

You can unlock the skin by wearing, salvaging or just right click and pick “unlock skin” or something like that.
