What is the best weapon for the warrior

There is no ‘best’ weapon, it all depends on preference, situation, your skills and your traits.

I use axe+axe for PvE, axe+shield for dungeons, rifle for WvW and axe+warhorn for running away in WvW! Many will say GS is best for PvP but I cant speak on that topic as ive never been.

You like burst damage? go with greatsword……you like sustained damage? go axe/axe, you like tanking per say? sword shield, you like condition based? sword/sword…….It is all how the way you play.

Most common is definitely Greatsword. As most Warriors are just brainless min-maxers, and it deals the most damage of any of their weapons, there you go. Bow for tagging enemies, as well.

This is how I feel about melee weapons that I have mainly used so far
Greatsword: seems kinda OP, can do very good damage against both single target and AOE

Dual Axes: These are amazing against multiple targets, can gain adrenaline really fast (With spin to win skill you can usually go from nothing to full bar if you are fighting 3 or more) However, when you are fighting single target they seem extremely weak

Hammer: Not that good for PVE Imo but it is so much fun
